Known to the general public for his role as Thanos in the Avengers films, Josh Brolin has actually been offered the lead role in the Green Lantern series.
During an interview with the specialized site ComicBook, the 56-year-old actor revealed that “things not done”Without providing further details. However, the latter named his successor, Kyle Chandler, “Great Actor” And left the door open to other proposals from the studio, led by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy).
True Detective Superheroes?
The series will be the second Green Lantern comic book adaptation, following the 2011 film directed by Ryan Reynolds. Kyle Chandler will lend his features to Hal Jordan and form a duo with Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge) – in turn chosen to play Jon Stewart.
The first published information reveals that the show will take the form of a police series, à la True Detective. Recall that the DC Comics franchise is the subject of an extensive reboot project. The new Superman movie (starring David Korenswet) is directed by James Gunn this year, and the search is currently underway for new interpreters for Batman, Wonder Woman and company.
