You couldn’t miss Thor, Jane Foster and their friends. Not even the Guardians of the Galaxy that appear at the beginning of the movie. But did you notice those more low-key cameos in “Love and Thunder”?
Warning – The article below contains minor spoilers for “Thor – Love and Thunder” as it discusses some of his cameos. Admittedly anecdotal in terms of the overall story, but please read on if you want to know anything at all.
Is Marvel really Marvel without a cameo? After the first Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson appeared after the end of the role of Nick Fury, there are a lot of actors and actresses who have been in different phases. Sometimes to send the future. The rest of the time for a simple wink. Thor – Love and Thunder is clearly no exception to the rule, but its main guests have been revealed since the start of filming and in the trailer.
It’s actually the Guardians of the Galaxy that Thor went with at the end of Avengers Endgame and that we find at the beginning of the story. But we meet other familiar faces throughout the story, even if they are not necessarily easy to recognize.

And their guide is none other than Daryl, played by actor, writer and director Daley Pearson, whose name might not ring a bell when he’s already appeared in the MCU. Because he was Thor’s roommate in three hilarious Taika Waititi shorts à la The Office (or What We Do in the Shadows , created by the director as a mockumentary of his own feature film). The first two told us what the hero was doing during the Civil War.
And finally, Jeff Goldblum took the stage to show us what happened after Ragnarok and his fall to Sakkar. Much to the displeasure of Daryl, who then looks for the new neighbor and sees him arrive. Therefore, everything indicates that he is now a resident of Asgard, where he has a new job, if not living in the same apartment as Thor.

Like Daryl, the other fun cameos aren’t exactly new. Because even if the inhabitants of Asgard have changed places, the cultural life of the kingdom is still going well. If Taika Waititi signs on for another Marvel superhero adventure, the big question will be who will play the stage versions of Jane Foster and Gore, played here by Natalie Portman and Christian Bale.
Finally, the most observant (of the film or during the credits) failed to notice that the wolf woman Thor meets in Corgi’s (Taika Waititi) story is played by Elsa Pataky. Or Chris Hemsworth’s wife, also unidentified.
