Good news for Reacher fans! Prime Video has ordered a new series, but about which character?

Jack Reacher is undoubtedly Prime Video’s safe guy. But for how long? If the Reacher series has been a hit for two seasons now, the platform isn’t going to stop there. And we learn through Diversity That the streaming world of the strongest boy is expanding… with a female character!

The project, tentatively titled The Untitled Neagley Project, focuses on Frances Neagley, played by Maria Stan. He is a private investigator who is part of Jack Reacher’s circle, which we met in the second season.

What will the series be about?

Prime Video took advantage of the announcement to reveal the series synopsis: “When he learns that a dear friend from his past has died in a suspicious accident, he sets out to seek justice. Using everything he’s learned from Jack Reacher and his time with the 110th Special Agent, Niggle embarks on a perilous path to uncover a menacing evil.“

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, announced the news at a Prime Video event in London, where Maria Stan was also on hand to share her excitement. “I love NiggleStan told the audience.It’s so fun to play, so quirky and full of difficulty.“

A character well embedded in the world of Jack Reacher

Maria Stan continued:I like working on characters, that’s how I trained. I read every book he appeared in… I immersed myself in what I thought was his psychology. So for me, I already had everything I needed and I’m excited to be able to expand on that.“

and added: “It’s Reacher again. It’s still action and fast-paced dialogue, but there’s something about this series that’s unique to Niggle, not Reacher. It maintains a fun tone, but the writers make it something unique.“

The same team works

Reacher creator Nick Santora created this spin-off in collaboration with Nicholas Wootton, screenwriter for the New York Police Department. They will serve as showrunners and executive producers. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and CBS Studios. Although a release date has yet to be revealed, the series is streaming exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson, is based on the novel series Jack Reacher by Lee Child and has become one of Prime Video’s most popular series. The third season is currently in development.

High expectations for this new series
