The three will be charged with criminal conspiracy
The Civil Police of Carapicuiba Thursday 3 arrested three people suspected of being part of a criminal conspiracy for theft and receiving stolen goods and vehicles in Capão Redondo, south of the capital. Second Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo (SSP), the men, aged between 30 and 33, used two properties in the region to store stolen vehicles, firearms, dynamite and detonators used to commit the crimes.
After the investigations, the officers went to one of the properties. With the help of a drone, the team captured two people dismantling a vehicle and an armed person walking on the ground.
“When she became aware of the presence of the police, one of the suspects threw a firearm from the window of the house. The other opened the gate to allow the entry of the police, who approached the group,” he said the SSP.
Inside the property, police also found two other firearms, a rifle and a pistol, five sticks of dynamite and two detonators. At that point, a car parked in the area, which had changed license plates, was also seized.
According to the SSP, the gang used another property in the region to store illicit material. “The location was in a vacant lot, where another cloned car and a motorcycle were located, as well as two more pieces of dynamite identical to those found at the first address.”
According to the police, two ballistic vests with armored covers and plates, two helmets and a balaclava (a hood that leaves only the eyes visible) were also found inside the trunk of a truck where the motorcycle was located.
The people involved were taken to the 1st police district (Carapicuíba). They will have to answer for the crimes of criminal association, seizure of vehicles, tampering with vehicle identification marks and possession or illegal possession of a firearm. At the moment, according to the SSP, they remain at the disposal of the Court.
