Max de Oliveira, known as Zula (Republicans), and Carlinhos Piloto (Solidarity) obtained exactly 2,434 votes




The dispute in the city of Inhaúma, central region of Minas Gerais, ended with a tie between the only two candidates for mayor, this Sunday 6. Although both obtained exactly 2,434 votes, Max de Oliveira, known as Zula (republicans),. he was considered the winner of the elections, instead of his competitor, Carlinhos Piloto (Solidariedade).

According to article 110 of law 4.737 of 15 July 1965, in the event of a tie, the oldest candidate wins. A curious and interesting fact is that both of their birthdays are on August 7, however Zula was born 16 years before her competitor. He is 62 years old, Carlinhos is 46.

It is not the first time that he has assumed the office of mayor: he was responsible for public administration between 1997 and 2000, before returning in 2013 and remaining there until 2016. The politician was also a municipal councilor for two terms, from 1989 to 1996.

According to the 2022 census, Inhaúma has 6,239 inhabitants and is part of the Sete Lagoas microregion. In addition to the 4,868 valid votes, there were 71 blank votes, 92 invalid votes and 749 abstentions.
