The new feature won the statuette for Best Animation at the biggest film awards in the world and, after showing in cinemas in February, it arrives on streaming

After visiting Brazilian cinemas in February this year, The Boy and the CraneStudio Ghibli’s most recent film, which won the Best Animated Feature statuette at the last edition of the Oscars, premieres on Netflix starting this Monday, October 7th.

What is the story of The Boy and the Crane?

The production follows a twelve-year-old boy, who struggles to settle in a new city after his mother’s death. However, when a talking heron appears and says that his mother is still alive, the boy decides to go after her in another world.
