fan of Dunes I’ve had reason to be a little disappointed recently, as it was reported earlier this month that our waiting time for Denis Villeneuve Duna: part 2 augmented: The release date of the hit sequel has been postponed by about a month, from October next year to November 2023. However, there is no reason to despair, as work on the film continues, as evidenced by the latest foundry. A.D.
Term now reports that Souheila Yacoub has become the latest actor to join the cast Duna: part 2. She will play the role of Shishakli in the film, and while the character doesn’t play a particularly prominent role in the story, one noteworthy aspect of the cast is that the role is gender-swapped.
In Frank Herbert Dunes, Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet in the 2021 adaptation) meets Shishakli while acclimating to the Fremen. When Paul learns to mount sandworms, it is Shishakli who provides him with the hooks needed for the activity. He says that the hooks he leaves of him are his and “they have never failed”.
Souheila Yacoub is a Swiss actress who made her debut as an actress on the French soap opera More beautiful life in 2016. In 2018 he made his film debut in Gaspar Noé’s film Climax with Sofia Boutella and, more recently, in the original Hulu series nobody’s land. Duna: part 2 This will be the largest project she has been involved in to date.
Duna: part 2 is set to adapt the second half of Frank Herbert’s original novel into the book series and will follow Paul Atreides and Lady Jessica as they work alongside the Fremens as they attempt to end House Harkonnen’s tyranny on the planet Arrakis and fight against the military. who saw the Atreides House destroyed.
This is just the latest cast update for Duna: part 2, which in recent months has been busy adding a host of new talent. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgård and others will reprise their roles as Dunesand new additions to the set include Florence Pugh (in the role of Princess Irulan), Austin Butler (in the role of the leftist Feyd-Rautha), Christopher Walken (who rules the universe as Emperor Shaddam IV) and Léa Seydoux (in the role of the subversive Bene Gesserit, Margot).
