Paramount + has released the poster and trailer for the “Beavis & Butt-head” revival, which takes the iconic MTV duo back to the 90s.

Released in 1993, “Beavis and Butt-Head” had a big impact on pop culture, as it featured two teenage rockers commenting on clips from bands of the era. The series ran for seven seasons and ran until 1997 on MTV. It ended up airing when clip consumption – and MTV itself – began to decline. But he returned for another season in late 2011, looking to reinvent himself, something that even MTV has tried unsuccessfully in recent years.

In addition to the series, the characters have won two films, “Beavis and Butt-Head Destroy America” in 1996 and the recent “Beavis & Butt-head Do the Universe”, available in streaming this week.

Original series creator Mike Judge continues to lead the attraction. He returns as a director, screenwriter and voice actor for the characters.

The revival – also known as season 9 – will debut August 4 in the United States.
