“The Boys” 5 Theories About Season 4: Homelander Will Become President

With what the third season of ‘The Boys’ left off and rumors that more actors from ‘Supernatural’ will appear in the series, theories are already starting to emerge about what could happen in season 4 of the Amazon production.

There is currently no confirmed date for the fourth season of ‘The Boys’, but it is certain that Homelander, Butcher, the boys and the other supers will return for another bloody and disruptive installment in the superhero genre.

Here are some of the theories about the future of “The Boys” after the events of the season 3 finale.

#1 There will be a new Soldier Boy

At the end of the season, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) ends up in custody and in state custody under the supervision of Grace Mallory (Laila Robins). however, in the comics the Soldier Boy mantle has been passed on by various characters.

As Homelander’s son Ryan (Antony Starr) decides to stay with his father and is already showing his powers to humans, it is very likely that Vought International will create a superhero identity for him and that will be that of the new Soldier Boy.

In Season 2 Ryan names the states of the United States, which one of the Soldier Boys in the comics does when he fights. Another clue linking Ryan to the character is that he is seen wearing red and blue clothing, the colors of his father and Soldier Boy in the printed pages.

#2 Homelander will become president

Being Vought’s boss and having publicly murdered a Starlight supporter (Erin Moriarty) and being cheered on by his followers, the Homelander ended the series with the power and acceptance he had always sought.

Given this and his agreement with Victoria Neuman to become vice president, Homelander could take over the White House by assassinating the leading candidate and taking his place, or become president through violence and his powers.

The show has drawn parallels to Homelander and Donald Trump’s persona throughout the third season, with showrunner Eric Kripke even admitting to Rolling Stone magazine on June 17 that the character is based on the former president.

In this way, it would make sense to see Homelander seeking more power and acceptance of the entire public authority from the White House and without apparent resistance from the media.

#3 Black Noir will return to Seven

Season three ended with the Seven gone, with only A-Train, The Deep, and Homelander left on the team, so Vougth’s marketing will certainly look to fill the void quickly.

Since a story was created about Queen Maeve’s death, it’s also possible to hide that Homelander killed Black Noir and put a mysterious new super in his suit.

This could even tie into the comics, where Black Noir is a Homelander clone created by Vougth to stop the leader of the seven if he goes rogue.

#4 a new hero will appear with no powers

As Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito), politicians and other high-ranking members of Vought International do not welcome Homelander’s power and decisions, one option to stop him is to create a new hero for the masses.

As audiences over the three seasons gradually lost respect and admiration for beings with superpowers, the character Vought’s marketing could create would be someone without special abilities, someone like Batman or Iron-Man.

In the comics “The Boys” there is a character who is a parody of Tony Stark called Tek Knight, a billionaire with political interests who uses technological armor to fight crime.

If the series is comparing Trump to Homelander, Tek Knight could be a parody and an analogy of the tech mogul Elon Musk and all the controversy he creates around him.

This is in addition to Eric Kripke’s comments in an interview with ‘E! News where he said he wants actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the show so he can play this new character.

#5 Butcher will have a son with powers

Billy Butcher’s character (Karl Urban) this season used the V-24 compound to gain powers for 24 hours, but it is revealed that more than 3 or 4 doses are fatal, so Butcher at the end of the season is diagnosed with only about 12 months of life remaining.

This could mean that Butcher in Season 4 becomes even more violent and extreme in his plan to kill Homelander and all the supers in the world.

However, a fan theory on Reddit suggests that Maeve is pregnant with Butcher’s child after their sexual encounter, so he will be forced to change by fighting his own ideology, now being the biological father of a super.

His inner conflict will also be presented when he admits that he has a great affection for Ryan, the biological son of his late wife and whom he promised to take care of so that he would not be like Homelander.
