His return caused a big wave in social networks. Heartstopper has once again touched the hearts of internet users with its third season finally available on Netflix.
The series, adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, follows the adventures of Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Keith Connor) as their romance takes a new turn.
While Heartstopper maintains a good vibe, it still goes a step further and takes a more grown-up approach with darker and sexier themes, highlighted by sequences that brought tears to the eyes of subscribers.
Will there be a 4th season for ‘Heartstopper’?
As of now, Netflix has yet to greenlight a fourth season, but it would be surprising given the show’s popularity if it doesn’t get more episodes.
Especially since Netflix’s fiction didn’t include all of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels. Indeed, there are still the final pages of volumes 5 and 6, which do not yet have a publication date, to be adapted.
It could also be that the author chose to adapt a spin-off novel Nick and Charlie In this potential 4th season, as he did for the spin-off novel this winterwhich was adapted into Season 3 Episode 5.
When is a potential ‘Heartstopper’ season 4 coming out?
If Heartstopper season 4 has been ordered, you’ll have to be patient to find out. Because Alyssa Osman hasn’t finished the 6th volume of the graphic novel series yet, as she told guard :
“I’m only 50 pages in, but I know what’s going to happen, what the dialogue is going to be, and now I’m going to sit down and draw, which is my favorite thing.
I’m really excited for what happens at the end of the story, but it’s also very bittersweet. I also think it’s a good time to end it. It’s very sad, but it’s time. “
Season 4 won’t be filmed until after Volume 6, which is due out in 2025. And this is the author’s request: “I honestly need volume 6 to come out before season 4 comes out, so people will know the end of the story from the books first. So there’s a countdown.”
Which means that between writing, producing, filming and post-production, a potential fourth season of Heartstopper might not be released until 2026.
Unless Alice Osman faces the process, as she suggested: “I’ll most likely draw Volume 6 at the same time as writing the Season 4 scripts, even if we’re not renewed”.
We’ll just have to wait for news from Netflix to find out if Heartstopper will indeed be renewed for a fourth season. Fans are already eagerly waiting for their beloved series to have an ending worthy of the name.
