One of the most successful actors of recent years, Paul Mescal He became known to the public, initially, for his participation in the miniseries Normal People (2020). It didn’t take long for him to become famous due to his participation in the film. Aftersun (2022), which even earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

The King of Comedy (1982)

First choice, The King of Comedy has direction Martin Scorsese and brings in its cast Robert De Niro. It is yet another partnership between filmmaker and actor.

The plot of the acid humor work tells the story of an aspiring stand-up comedian who becomes obsessed with a famous colleague and starts pursuing him with the intention of becoming his partner and friend. The King of Comedy it received positive reviews, but was a box office failure — it only grossed US$2.5 million.

Sweethearts Forever (2010)

The second choice of Paul Mescal it was the romantic drama Valentine Forever. In the title, the characters of Ryan Gosling and michelle williams play a couple whose love life is explored in two different moments: the beginning of their relationship and their marriage years later.

Remains of the Day (1993)
