Ryan finds a letter from his father
Returning for her son’s 18th birthday, Romy, however, finds it hard to cheer after Malik’s letter. In fact, the latter informs him of the appointment with the notary, which he made during his lifetime until he came of age. Romy is worried about this because she remembers well that Malik was jealous of her relationship with Ryan and even tried to break them up. Karim reassures her, convinced of the strength of the bond that unites Romy and her son.
A young woman finds her son with a notary, from where he leaves with a large bag. Faced with his questions, Romi claims that he did not know anything. Malik wrote the will a year before his death and they did not speak again during that time. Ryan wants his mom to be there when he opens the bag. So she invites him to lunch at the Little Spoon with her and Jack. As they set off, a man in black begins to follow them.
After being surrounded by his mother and his friend, Ryan opens a bag that contains several of his father’s belongings: a leather jacket, a ring, his wedding suit, as well as a blank burned CD. When Valentine comes to serve them, Ryan clears the table and puts things in a bag that he places at his feet. Suddenly, a man dressed in black appeared with the bag, also wearing a hat and a surgical mask of the same color. Jack tries to stop him, but the man pushes him hard and he falls back, unconscious.
Karim soon joins Romy and Ryan at the hospital where Jack was being cared for. Ryan tells his uncle what happened and lists the items that were in the bag. Karim and Romi assume they were dealing with a pickpocket who must have noticed Malik’s ring.
In turn, Ryan goes over to Jack’s bed, who comes out with a few stitches. He really regrets that his boy stole his father’s things. Ryan doesn’t hide his disappointment. But above all she is happy that Jack is okay.
At the police station, Georges informs Karim that he checked the video surveillance images as requested. He confirms that the man who stole the purse is no simple pickpocket, as he followed Romy and Ryan from the notary’s office to the Little Spoon. There, the policeman loses track due to the lack of cameras. In addition, it is impossible to identify an individual because of his clothing.
Karim meets up with Rum Spoon to talk to him about what he discovered. He speculates that the CD contained foreign account identifiers and that Malik may have intended to inherit his dirty money for Ryan. He promises his daughter-in-law that he will do everything for whoever stole the bag. Romy still admits he’s not unhappy about stealing it. She desperately wants Malik out of their lives once and for all.
Meanwhile, Ryan returned home with Jack. He tries to cheer her up. Ryan confides in her that he especially wanted to keep the ring because he loved it and hoped to pass it down to his own son one day.
As he throws the paper in the trash, Ryan finds parts of Malik’s letter that are clearly torn. Together with Jack, he collects all the pieces, then puts them together to reconstruct the letter read aloud:Ryan, I know I haven’t always been a model father, but I’ve always been a man of his word with values, you know that. And courage is part of it, including facing the truth. You should know something important. Your mother is not who you think she is. He has lied to you all his life.“…
Charles is in prison, Victor is released
When he gets out of prison, Victor can’t help but hug his expectant son. She expresses her desire to return home, but Timothy points out that they no longer live together. Even if he is no longer angry with his father, the young man wants to continue to be independent, especially since he feels good with Bart. Victor is happy for her.
A little later in the day, Timothy sees Rachel brooding at the Spoon counter. From afar, he orders her comfort food. Seeing him seated at the table, the young woman invites him to join her, too anxious to encourage his delicate attentions.
Meanwhile, the Philippines is going to Roussel. After meeting Charles, she asks Damien and Violetta if they have a message of support for her. However, Violet is angry at her brother for stealing Jessica’s fashion show prize pool. As for Damien, she’s still mad at him.
In the guest room, Filipina apologizes to Charles. He never wanted her to sacrifice herself in his place. Charles tells him that the police were suspicious of him. He didn’t want to arrest her, especially since Violetta needed him. In addition, Charles is consumed by guilt and believes that he deserves to be in prison. But his mother has every intention of getting him out of there.
Alen falls in love with Mariana
At the spoon, Mona apologizes to Joel for hitting her the day before. Anyway, Georges has no doubts about their relationship. At the same time, Allen will appear at the counter. Mona apologizes for the inconvenience she caused to him. He relents and invites her to stay for lunch.
At the table, Allen sees Mariana, who also came to Spon for dinner. He invites her to join him, but she declines because she’s taking a break to work. A little later, Allen leaves to not greet Mariana. Mona then comes to clean it up and informs her that Allen has caught her eye. Mariana replies that she is not interested. Indeed, he still mourns Reno.
For his part, Alain confides to François and Soizic that he feels good in the set, where he has adopted his little habits. He adds that he likes Mariana. Soizic informs her that she has just lost her husband. But she is ready to find out about her father-in-law.
