Part of the Unicron trilogy, this series occupies an important role in the chronology of the franchise. Originally conceived as the conclusion to a trilogy, “Cybertron” ended up becoming a standalone story, with some adjustments to the plot.

The series, which used CG animation, offered a more introspective view of the characters, but ended up dividing opinion among fans.

Responsible for the revitalization of the franchise in the early 2000s, “Armada” is an anime collaboration between Hasbro and Takara. The series introduced Mini-Cons and brought back the villain Unicron.

Although the series was divisive, it gained popularity over time, mainly due to the development of its story. The initially light-hearted animation evolved into a darker and more complex plot and, despite criticism, gained a loyal fan base.
