You’ve been waiting for it for 3 years: Season 2 of this fantastic series is coming soon to Netflix

In a few weeks, Squid Game fans will finally be able to discover Season 2 of the South Korean series (December 26, only on Netflix). The program’s unprecedented success paved the way for public enthusiasm for South Korean dramas and the Hellbound series in particular.

Hellbound (translated by our Quebec friends as Infernal Prophecies) is the creation of Yeon Sang-ho (Last Train to Busan), based on his own webtoon. The series depicts a world where strange prophecies announce their imminent death to anonymous people around the world.

Bloodthirsty and unstoppable monsters are responsible for carrying out these divine murders, which were very quickly used by the guru of the sect founded after these phenomena appeared.

More updates than the obvious

The series made its grand debut on Netflix on November 19, 2021, and its first season consisted of a total of six episodes. Despite mixed reviews (average rating of 3.4 out of 5 among AlloCiné internet users), Hellbound was a huge success worldwide. So its renewal for an additional season was not surprising.

In this new season, the character of Jung Jinsu (the founder of the New Truth Sect) returns to Earth after several years in purgatory. The latter, interested in this “resurrection”, will try to find answers to this new mystery in order to understand the reasons for this new chance given to him by divine means.

You won’t have to wait long to discover Hellbound Season 2, as it will be streaming exclusively on Netflix starting October 25th.
