After playing Zack Snyder’s Superman and Geralt in The Witcher, Henry Cavill joins another franchise: Voltron, the film adaptation of the American animated series, itself based on the Japanese animated films Beast King GoLion and Dairugger XV.
The story focuses on five young pilots of the Lion Battalion, machines that are united to create a giant robot known as Voltron. The eighties series was a worldwide success and was even the subject of a 2016 Netflix animated reboot, Voltron, Legendary Defender. The series spanned eight seasons.
