Bonfim says he has noticed many publications from people who practice race walking, but that the heat and historical drought have not favored the practice of this sport in the Brasilia region, for example.
“It’s not a good time to start a new sport, but I’ve seen people’s different views on walking and other sports and it’s nice. I think going forward we will reap a lot of fruits from this positive result,” he said.
The athlete also celebrated the opportunity to participate in the solidarity project. “A childhood dream has come true, I think it’s a nice initiative, being able to have fun with the group and being able to help us in some way too.”
