Fans attended the performance dressed as Linda and Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney gave a hand to a couple who attended his show in Chile last Friday, the 11th.
During the soundcheck, Chileans Yamil Alamo and Leonora Pereira raised a banner that said: “Paul: give us a handshake and we’ll get married.” They were dressed as Paul and Linda McCartney in the 1970s.

The couple managed to catch the attention of the former Beatle, who asked him to join him on stage. Poplar got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him in front of McCartney.
Poplar and Pereira traveled around 400km to watch the presentation at Estadio Monumental, in Santiago. They declared themselves big fans of the musician and said that they intend to celebrate the wedding to the sound of “Maybe I’m Amazed”, a track by McCartney launched in 1970.

“It was a very special moment for us because, for many years, we tried to meet him — and today was the day!”, he said Poplar. “I have no words to describe this experience.”
Paul McCartney arrives in Brazil next week for shows in São Paulo and Florianópolis.
