At the end of his memoir, You Thought You Know, Kevin Federline issues an alert about his ex-wife, Britney Spearsand their children, Sean Preston20 years old, and Jayden Jamesfrom 19. “Now, more than ever, they need your support”he wrote, according to an excerpt obtained by The New York Times. “I was their buffer for years, but now this is bigger than me. It’s time to sound the alarm.”

Although Federline does not specify a particular concern, he expresses an intense uneasiness in his passages about Spears. He suggests the pop star needs professional help which he believes won’t be provided after the move. “Free Britney”in which her supporters advocated the end of the conservatorship she was under from 2008 to 2021. “All those people who worked so hard on this should now put the same energy into the ‘Save Britney’ movement. Federline had sole custody of sean and Jayden during most of the guardianship, a period in which long periods passed between visits from Spears to the children. According to the The New York Times, Federline and Spears “haven’t spoken to each other in years”but the singer’s ex-husband maintains: “I have never, ever been against the Britney. I just tried to help my kids have an amazing relationship with their mom. And it’s hard because when I really reflect on everything that happened, my children don’t know the woman I married. And I spent two decades trying to bridge that gap.”
