Winners were announced at a special ceremony held last Sunday, October 13th, in the center of Rio de Janeiro
Babynew film by Marcelo Caetano (Electric Body), and Malufrom Pedro Freire (My Little Piece of Ground), were the big winners of the 26th edition of the Rio Festivalwhich took place between October 3rd and 13th, in Rio de Janeiro.
The news shared the Redeemer Trophy for Best Fiction Feature Film, on the circuit Brazil Premierededicated to national productions and one of the main showcases of Brazilian cinema.
In the same circuit, Baby He also won the Best Actor award for João Pedro Mariano and Best Art Direction for Thales Junqueira. Already Malu secured wins for Best Screenplay for Pedro FreireBest Actress for Yara de Novaes and Best Supporting Actress for Carol Duarte and Juliana Carneiro da Cunha.
At the show New Directionsdedicated to new directors and new languages of Brazilian audiovisual production, the highlight was Illusion Centernew from Pedro Diogenes (Hellraiser). Below, check out all the winners of the 26th edition of the Rio Festival:
