Ford will play Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the Red Hulk, in Captain America: Brave New World, which premieres in 2025
Harrison Ford (Star Wars), interpreter of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Captain America: Brave New Worldrevealed why he decided to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor will replace William Hurtwho played the character since The Incredible Hulkfrom 2008, but passed away in 2022.
“This is the Marvel universe and I’m just passing through. I’m a first-time navigator, new to this city,” he explained in an interview with GQ Magazine. “I understand the appeal of other types of films than the ones we made in the 1980s and 1990s. (…) [Mas] it is the condition in which our condition is, and things change, transform and continue.”
“We’ll be silly if we sit around lamenting the change and not participate. I’m participating in a new part of the business that, at least for me, I think is actually producing good experiences for the public. I like that”he completed.
Ford franchise debut in Captain America: Brave New Worldthe character’s first feature film with Anthony Mackie as the protagonist. In addition to the duo, the production also brings the returns of Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sternsthe villain Leaderboth from The Incredible Hulk.
Finally, Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumblywho lived, respectively, Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley in Falcon and the Winter Soldierreturn to play the characters in the new film, scheduled to hit Brazilian cinemas on February 13, 2025. Watch the trailer:
