Tricolor and Cruz-Maltino face each other in a match scheduled for the 30th round of the Brasileirão; the match takes place in Campinas
After a long interruption for Data FIFA, San Paolo and Vasco finally return to play for the Brasileirão. It is this Wednesday (16th), at 9.45pm (Brasilia time), at the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa, in Campinas, for the 30th round.
The teams face each other in an early match for the CBF as the Rio team competes in the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil. The Tricolore, fifth, with 47 points, needs to win if they don’t want to be threatened by Inter (46 points) and Bahia (45), who are immediately behind in the standings. Vasco is tenth and in case of victory he could regain ninth position.

How to get to Sao Paulo
Coach Luis Zubeldía will be absent many times for the duel against Vasco. Absent for almost two months due to an injury to his left leg, striker Ferreira still remains in doubt at Tricolor. The club says it normally maintains the planned plan and will only release it when it is truly 100%.
Also, full-back Jamal Lewis, who plays for Northern Ireland in the Nations League; defender Ferraresi, who plays for Venezuela, and midfielder Bobadilla, who plays for Paraguay, the latter two in World Cup qualifying matches, will not return to Brazil in time and are out.
Arboleda and André Silva are disqualified and will not go to Campinas either. Good news however is the return of Calleri and Alan Franco, disqualified in the last match and at the coach’s disposal.
How Vasco arrives
Even with the Copa do Brasil semi-final on the horizon, Vasco brought maximum strength to Campinas. After all, the team is in tenth place in the Brasileirão and aims to get closer to its rivals at the top of the table.
For this match, coach Rafael Paiva will have to do without midfielder Souza, suspended, and left back Victor Luís, who remained in Rio de Janeiro due to an edema in his left thigh. Instead, they will have the return of Mateus Carvalho, disqualified in the draw against Juventude.
No matter how much the main group of players has been taken, it is not known, however, whether Paiva will shuffle the team, aiming for Saturday’s match against Atlético-MG, in the Copa do Brasil. Puma Rodríguez, with the Uruguayan team (who plays on Tuesday (15)), may not return in time, with Paulo Henrique likely to start.
