This week, one of Quentin Tarantino’s most famous feature films – the one that won him the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1994 – celebrates its 30th anniversary! A four-star cast, especially Samuel L. Jackson, Pulp Fiction remains a true classic for all fans of the filmmaker.
Even at the beginning of his career at the time, the American actor (whom we have already seen in the films Goodfellas, Do The Right Thing, Jurassic Park and True Romance) exploded in the role of Jules Winfield, a mobster with particularly accelerated methods and irreversible punishments, at the behest of the excellent Marcellus Wallace.
Jules Winfield’s famous tirade
This charismatic killer, whom Samuel L. Jackson starred alongside John Travolta, and viewers especially remembered his unforgettable tirade at the beginning of the film.
Shortly before killing the little rogue, who had the bad idea to do the opposite, he recited what he described as a verse taken from the Bible’s book of Ezekiel (and which was actually very heavily altered from the original text).
In honor of Pulp Fiction’s 30th anniversary, on his Instagram accountSamuel L. For all fans of the movie, Jackson posted a very nice little video that brilliantly proves that he still knew his famous line by heart:

Samuel L. Jackson still remembers it 30 years later
“The march of virtue is strewn with obstacles, these are the selfish enterprises which arise endlessly from the work of the wicked. Blessed is the man of good will who, in the name of charity, becomes the shepherd of the weak whom he leads. In the valley of shadow, death and tears, for he is his brother’s keeper and the protector of lost children.
Then I will bring down an arm of terrible wrath, of furious and terrible vengeance, upon the ungodly hosts that have pursued and destroyed the sheep of God. And you will know why my name is Lord, when the vengeance of the Almighty comes upon you.’
On his post, the actor embellished his performance a little: “You know I still have it! Ezekiel 25:17 Happy 30th Anniversary of Pulp Fiction!”
