Vasco has six pending for the match against San Paolo

When he takes the field against Tricolor San Paolo, Cruz-Maltino will have to be careful not to lose players against Cuiabá

When they take to the field this Wednesday (16th) to face San Paolo, Vasco will have a long list of players to compete with. In total, six of those listed are in the spotlight with two yellow cards in the series.

This way, if they were sanctioned against the Tricolor, they would lose Cruz-Maltino’s next match with the Brasileirão, against Cuiabá. The match will take place next Wednesday (23rd), in São Januário, and is valid for the 19th round (delayed).

Léo, Lucas Piton, Mateus Carvalho, Hugo Moura, Rayan and Vegetti are the players in question. David and Adson are also there, but, injured, they don’t run that risk. Since Vasco will face Atlético-MG on Saturday (19th), it is possible that some of these athletes will not take the field, saved for the Copa do Brasil duel.

Mateus Carvalho, in fact, returns from suspension after his absence against Juventude. The point is that he received a straight red card in his previous match, against Cruzeiro, even though he was suspended. Thus, he respected the automatic disqualification for the reds and returned still suspended by two yellows.

Tenth in the Brasileirão standings, Vasco can recover ninth position. To do so, they will have to beat São Paulo, in a match that will take place at 9.45pm (Brasilia time), at the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa stadium, in Campinas.
