Thor: Love and Thunder banned in China for LGBTQ+ scene

China blocked the screening of the film because it contains LGBTQ+ characters

Thor: Love and Thunderfourth film about the God of Thunder played by Chris Hemsworth, had its premiere banned from China for containing LGBTQIA+ scenes, becoming the sixth film from the studios to be banned for gender bias. The information is from The Hollywood Reporter.

The film follows lightyear (2022), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), West Side Story (2021) and eternal (2021) on a growing list of major Disney titles to be blocked by due to the inclusion of LGBTQ+ scenes, which often come into conflict due to homosexuality being officially illegal in much of the Middle East and Asia.
