Duel Rubro-Negro and Tricolore, this Thursday, at 8pm, at the Maracanã, for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship
Flamengo and Fluminense are scheduled for this Thursday (17th), at 8pm, for the 30th round of the Brasileirão, at the Maracanã. Both teams enter the duel with news due to absences. Rubro-Negro is thinking of staying in the G4, while Tricolor is fighting to stay last in the standings.
Flamengo’s lineup
Flamengo will not be able to count on Gerson, Pulgar and De La Cruz, who have been on the pitch for around 48 hours with their respective teams. Arrascaeta and Plata remain on the bench. Coach Filipe Luís used a midfield with Allan, Alcaraz and Léo Ortiz. Another novelty is the entry of Matheus Gonçalves, used by Filipe Luís in the Under 20s, leaving Michael on the bench.
Flamengo takes the field with: Rossi, Wesley, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas; Léo Ortiz, Allan, Alcaraz; Matheus Gonçalves, Bruno Henrique and Gabigol.
Fluminense training
Without the presence of Thiago Silva, coach Mano Menezes chose defender Manoel as Thiago Santos’ teammate for the classic. Additionally, Jhon Arias starts on the bench while playing for Colombia. Thus, Marquinhos takes over. The commander also needed to find new pieces for the absences of Marcelo and Keno, who are serving a suspension.
Fluminense enters the field with: Fábio; Samuel Xavier, Manoel, Thiago Santos, Diogo Barbosa; Bernal, Martinelli, Lima, Ganso; Marquinhos and Kaua Elias.
In the table
With 51 points in 28 games – nine less than leaders Botafogo, who play on Friday (18th) -, Flamengo currently occupies fourth place in the Série A of the Brasileirão. Fluminense, in turn, enters the 30th round with 30 points and occupies 16th position. The team risks relegation and urgently needs a coherent reaction in the competition.
