Billie Eilish could be among the new names for the second season of Mr. & Mrs. Smithseries of Amazon Prime Video. The singer, who made her acting debut in Swarmalso for Prime, would be being investigated by Amazon MGM Studios for one of the main roles in the plot.
According to information released by Deadlinestudios are looking for actors in their 20s to play John and Janedescribed as central characters, with one-year contracts. Although no official offer has been confirmed, Billie Eilish is one of the big names considered for the production.
The first season of Mr. & Mrs. Smithcreated by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloanewas released in February 2024 and featured Glover and Maya Erskine in the roles of two strangers who, like spies, assume the identity of a couple, John and jane smith. The season ended with a shootout between the two, leaving the outcome open for the next season.
The series is inspired by the 2005 film of the same name, starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Initially, Phoebe Waller-Bridge had been cast to play Janebut left the project in 2021 due to creative differences with Glover, being replaced by Maya Erskine.
