Bloober Team, from the Silent Hill 2 remake, admits they made bad games

Studio said it believes it has found its “niche” and wants to “evolve with it”

Developer Bloober Team has acknowledged that some of its previous games are bad. That said, he has no intention of making the mistakes of the past again, now trying to repeat the success achieved with the remake of Silent Hill 2.

“We want to find our niche and we think we’ve found it, so now we just have to evolve.”said co-director Jacek Zieba in an interview with GameSpot. “And how that happens is more complex, but it also happens sort of organically, like with Layers of Fear [de 2016]people at the studio were like, ‘Okay, we’ve made some bad games before, but…’ [podemos] evolve.””

“We’ve put together a team that loves horror”added co-director Wojciech Piejko. “So I think, for us, it wouldn’t be easy to change [para outros gêneros]and we don’t want to.

Praised by most critics and gamers, the Silent Hill 2 remake has sold more than 1 million copies since its release. The game received a robust update this week, bringing numerous fixes and improvements.

Bloober Team recently announced its next project, Cronos: The New Dawn, a post-apocalyptic survival horror game that will be released in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
