Carol Gattaz stands out and Praia Clube maintains their unbeaten record in the Superliga

The Minas Gerais team invested in the wall to win the match with more confidence.

This Tuesday (22), Praia Clube faced Abel Moda Brusque in the eagerly awaited tenth round of the Women’s Volleyball Superliga, held at the Uberlândia Tênis Clube. The match, which was originally supposed to be played in December, was brought forward due to Praia Clube’s participation in the World Cup.

With a 100% success, Praia Clube achieved its second consecutive victory by 3 sets to 0, with partial scores of 25/16, 25/18 and 25/21. The highlight of the match were the blocks of the Minas Gerais team, which made it difficult for the opponents to attack.

In the first set Abel Moda equalizes at 10-10, but Praia takes control and closes the set calmly. The second set wasn’t much different, with Praia maintaining a good run and winning another set. In the third set the match was closer, but Praia Clube prevailed and secured another victory.

Center block Carol Gattaz was one of the highlights, scoring 12 points and receiving the Viva Vôlei trophy. Sofya Kuznetsova and Payton Caffrey shined, scoring 16 points each. On Brusque’s side, Anna Sampaio stood out with 13 points, but was unable to avoid defeat, leaving the Catarinense team without scoring so far in the competition.

Abel Moda Brusque will face Fluminense at Arena Brusque, Friday (25th), at 7.30pm. Praia Clube will return to the pitch in Uberlândia on Monday (28th), at 6.30pm, against Brasilia.
