Stranger Things 4: Why did the final episode last 2h20? Creators respond

Although it’s clocked up over a billion hours on Netflix in total, Stranger Things season 4 pushed the boundaries of being spectacular on the small screen. Ambitious and dense, this fourth installment is also the longest. Each episode is over an hour long, with the last one clocking in at 2h20, the classic length of a blockbuster in the cinema.

But if you want to relax, go ahead..” The showrunners have already revealed that Season 5 will be much shorter than Season 4, but will it also be split into two volumes?
