Kidnapped as a teenager by cult leader Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm), Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) spent 15 years in an underground bunker with four other young girls, believing she was the only survivor of the apocalypse. The day he finally breaks free, a whole new world opens up to him, full of endless possibilities.
Determined not to be a victim and armed only with a positive attitude, Kim decides to leave her native Indiana and move to New York: this is where she will rebuild her life! When she befriends her new roommate Andromedon (Titus Burgess) and works as a babysitter for the melancholic, eccentric socialite Jacqueline Voorhees (Jane Krakowski), many obstacles stand in her way. But nothing can stop Kim, a public outcast who still sees with innocent eyes, from making the most of her new life in an attempt to adapt to the new world.

The critically acclaimed sitcom received 18 Emmy nominations, including four nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series and one nomination for Outstanding Television Movie for its special interactive episode, Kimmy vs. The Reverend, which airs two years after its conclusion — as well. Check it out after the show!
But what makes Tina Fey’s co-created series so powerful is the quality of its casting, led by the brilliant Ellie Kemper (The Office), two-time Emmy nominee, funny Titus Burgess (30 Rock), nominated for four Emmys, and Wacky Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal), also nominated for an Emmy once. Not to be forgotten, two of his many famous guests (the list is long!) in the crowd John HammNamed for the role of Machiavelli and Tina Fey himself, also once named.

The show is a refreshing, lively and wonderfully engaging sitcom, all with charming and colorful characters: in other words, a comedy that just makes us happy! With its 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 3.9 out of 5 on our site, Indestructible Kimmy Schmidt is a series that doesn’t take itself seriously, goes out of its way to be silly, and uses humor and clichés to reflect the evolution of our society… and we love it, we have to admit!
