More than 25 years after the director’s last film, Pierre Richard goes behind the camera again

We know Pierre Richard, the irresistible actor of cult comedies. But sometimes we forget that he also made 8 feature films between 1970 and 1997. After putting this part of his career on hold for almost 30 years, Le Film français learns that he is currently working on his 9th feature film.

The film will be called The Man Who Saw the Bear Who Saw the Man. 90-year-old Pierre Richard will be in front of and behind the camera. The story goes like this: Despite being separated by several decades, Grigor and Michel share an unusual friendship, both whimsical and steadfast. One day, a nearby circus announces that its bear has escaped…

Authors of the film are Pierre Richard and Anne-Sophie Riviere. Young Timmy-Joy Marbot will be cast alongside Pierre Richard. Gustav Kervern will also be in the cast. Filming in Occitania continues until November 6.

Pierre Richard will be casting Xavier Beauvois’ La Vallée des Fous on November 13 (trailer above). This summer he was on Felles’ account.
