Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that Israel chose targets to attack in Iran based on its national interest and not according to guidelines provided by the United States.
The prime minister’s office issued a statement in response to what it called a “completely false” report by a local television station that Israel had refrained from attacking Iranian oil and gas facilities due to pressure from the United States United.
“Israel chooses the targets of attacks in advance, according to its national interests and not according to North American guidelines. This is how it has been and this will be the case,” the office said.
