In the voting intentions in the capital of Minas Gerais, Fuad appears with 46% against Engler’s 41%; 10% declared a blank or null vote
From a survey carried out by Quaest and released on Saturday 26th, it appears that Fuad Noman (PSD) has 52% of the valid votes for the second round of the elections for the mayor of Belo Horizonte (MG). Bruno Engler (PL) appears with 48% of the electoral preferences.

Valid votes are the criteria used by the electoral court to decide elections. However, Quaest’s methodology for the survey is different and takes into account voting intentions, turnout pattern and profile, as well as considering the population’s level of engagement with each candidate.
The Electoral Court and other research institutes, such as Datafolha, define valid votes only by excluding blank ballots, invalid votes and undecided voters.
The survey, commissioned by TV Globo, was carried out in person between 25 and 26 October among 1,602 voters in Belo Horizonte, aged 16 and over. The poll was registered at the Electoral Tribunal under number MG-03892/2024. The margin of error is two percentage points, both upwards and downwards.
The exchange of attacks between Noman and Engler led the Electoral Tribunal to extend the election campaign until this Saturday in Belo Horizonte. Both were granted the right of reply and, as there was not sufficient time to disseminate the communications, they will be shown, exceptionally, on the eve of the elections.
