Bolsonaro was also defeated in Belo Horizonte. Despite intensifying his presence in Bruno Engler’s (PL) campaign in recent days, it was not enough to beat Fuad Noman (PSD). Engler is one of the main names of the PL, known for his faithful alignment with Bolsonarism.

“The left has lost strength because it has difficulty in dialogue,” says the expert:

The former president achieved victory in three cities where he campaigned: São Paulo (SP), Cuiabá (MT) and Anápolis (GO). However, the victory in the capital of São Paulo is attributed more to governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republican), named the “greatest leader” by Ricardo Nunes (MDB) in the campaign that secured his re-election, than to Bolsonaro’s own influence .
