Apple Intelligence officially arrives this Monday on iPhone; see how to install


Artificial intelligence will arrive with the arrival of the company’s new operating system, which promises other additions beyond the tool

THE Apple’s intelligence, artificial intelligence (AI) from the Apple arrives at iPhone this Monday 28. The tool that, according to the company’s CEO, Tim Cookit’s as revolutionary as the launch of the smartphone itself brings a host of new features to your devices. The news arrives with the new update of the device’s operating system, iOS 18.1

After installing the iOS 18.1 update, users of these devices will need to do so get on the waiting list to access Apple Intelligence features. The wait time on the list will depend on demand, but Apple says that during the beta testing period the wait wasn’t long.

TO update your iPhone to iOS 18.1Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone, tap “General” and select “Software Update.” The system will automatically check for available updates. Tap “Download and Install” to start the update and your device will receive the Apple tool.

Artificial intelligence will be integrated into various system resourcesoffering features such as writing assistant, automatic call summary, removal of unwanted objects in photos, priority of messages and summaries in emails, creation of custom emoji with Genmoji, image generation with Image Playground, integration with ChatGPT and smarter Siri, with context awareness and activation of the text.

In addition to Apple Intelligence, iOS 18.1 brings other new features, such as improvements to the Siri assistant, which can now be activated via SMS and offers more complete and contextualized responses, greater customization of the home screen, with the possibility of adjusting the size of icons and widgets and advanced privacy features like the option to hide your IP address when using public Wi-Fi networks.

All this will initially be available only in English, even in Brazilian territory. The company’s expectation is to make the resource available in Portuguese only in 2025.

When will Apple Intelligence be fully available?

The update iOS 18.1marks the beginning of the rollout of Apple Intelligence on supported devices. From the iOS 18.2which is expected to be released in December, will include features such as Genmojiwhich uses generative artificial intelligence technology to combine emojis on the platform at the user’s command and on the app Playground for imageswhich will allow users to “play” with new generative artificial intelligence features.
