The actor from All of Us Unknown is the protagonist of the sequel to the 2000 film, directed by Ridley Scott, which hits theaters in November

Paul Mescal (Aftersun, All of Us Strangers) revealed that he got the lead role of Gladiator IIsequel to the 2000 hit, after a 30-minute video call with the director Ridley Scott (Napoleon).

“I thought we would have camera tests and auditions, but we did a half-hour Zoom, talked for 10 minutes about the role and another 20 minutes about Welsh football, the dog and his wife.
