With some steampunk elements, the “His Dark Materials” series is an adaptation of Philip Pullman’s trilogy of novels of the same name. The show received praise from specialized critics.

The series is set in a world where everyone’s souls manifest physically in the form of animals. This manifestation is called demons.

The plot follows young Lyra, who embarks on a journey to find a missing friend. However, he ends up uncovering a kidnapping plot linked to a mysterious substance. The cast includes names such as Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson and James McAvoy.

The Brazilian steampunk series, “A Todo Vapor” is a creation of Felipe Reis and Enéias Tavares. The work is part of a multimedia project and reinterprets famous characters from Brazilian literature in a fantasy plot.

“A Todo Vapor” follows a team of detectives solving crimes in a retrofuturistic city in the interior of Sao Paulo.

The anime “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” is set in a steampunk world at the time of the Industrial Revolution.

In the story, a virus brings forth undead creatures called Kabane, who can only be defeated if their iron heart is pierced. Anyone bitten by them becomes infected.

In Hinomoto, people built fortress stations to protect themselves from these creatures. The plot follows Ikoma, a young man who created his own anti-Kabane weapon, but becomes a hybrid after an attack.
