With Dybala’s goal, Roma beat Torino and win again in Serie A

Playing at the Olímpico, the Giallorossi team moved up three positions after interrupting a series of three games without a win in the Italian Championship

It was thanks to a strange goal from Dybala that Roma finally ended their run of three games without a win in the Italian Championship. This Thursday (31), the Giallorossi scored 1-0 in Turin, at the Stadio Olimpico, in the Italian capital, in the tenth round. Coach Ivan Jurić’s team thus gains three positions and comes close to the Turím team in the Serie A standings.

The goal came after 20′. Roma pressured Torino at the start, complicated by a throw-in, with Vojvoda passing the wrong ball to goalkeeper Milinkovic-Savic. Dybala, astutely, dribbles past the archer and shoots from an angle, from outside the area. The Maripan defender also tried to cross the line, but the ball ended up in the net.

Torino tries to try to press, trying to force Roma’s mistakes, but this doesn’t scare the Roma fans. Dybala led the home team in creating plays, earning applause. The Argentine champion, however, saw his opportunities blocked by the opposing defence.

In the final phase the game was very truncated, with the teams missing too many passes and exchanging objects awkwardly. Roma thus takes the final stage into the background, trying not to suffer from the balls thrown into the area.

Next steps

With the victory Roma climbs up the rankings and remains faithful to Torino. The capital team is tenth, with 13 points, one less than Thursday’s rival, who is ninth, with 14.

The Roma players will face Verona, away from home, next Sunday (3), at 2pm (Brasilia time), on the eleventh day of the Italian Championship. Meanwhile, Torino hosts Fiorentina, on the same day, but at 11am.
