Hyundai also highlights that the New Creta’s dual-clutch gearbox comes with a comprehensive five-year warranty
Hyundai has very clearly announced the introduction of the dual-clutch automated transmission (DCT7) in the Ultimate version of the New Creta 2025, designed for the Brazilian market. Paired with the new 1.6 turbo engine, the model promises superior performance and is available for R$189,990. This version seeks to appeal to consumers who want performance and technology in a high-end SUV.
The manufacturer points out that the dry dual clutch transmission is already used in other renowned vehicles of the brand, such as Elantra, Tucson and Kona, in several international markets. This coverage includes Europe, Asia, Australia and parts of Latin America, reinforcing Hyundai’s confidence in the system’s durability.
The DCT7 gearbox is equipped with two independent clutches, one for odd gears and the other for even gears and reverse, optimizing performance during gear changes. Electronic actuators ensure smoother transitions, while CAN technology enables efficient communication between components, ensuring fast and precise responses.
Among the advances of this new generation stand out the use of low viscosity oil and bearings designed for lower friction. These elements extend the life of internal components and contribute to more efficient operation. Structural changes and material improvements have also been implemented, increasing durability and minimizing issues such as leaks.
To test the resistance of the gearbox, Hyundai carried out rigorous durability tests in Brazil. The New Crete traveled 90 thousand kilometers in variable road conditions. After testing, it was found that the clutches still retained two-thirds of their useful life, indicating the robustness of the technology.
The New Creta has a five-year unlimited mileage warranty for its DCT7 transmission. This coverage covers manufacturing defects, provided that regular maintenance is followed in accordance with the recommendations of Hyundai Motor Brasil. Therefore, the brand reaffirms its commitment to quality and trust in the product for Brazilian consumers.
