Flights to Argentina, France and Australia are some of the new airlines […]

Among the news announced by airlines operating in Brazil, the most recent occurred on October 21, when companies such as Gol and Azul marked the reopening of Salgado Filho airport, in Porto Alegre, with customized planes.

The action celebrated the reopening of the terminal in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, after more than five months of closure due to floods in the first half of the year, in Rio Grande do Sul.

But the news doesn’t end here. There is an unprecedented flight from Brazil to France, the shortest for those flying to Australia and new routes to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Latin America

Brazilians recently gained another option to fly to the other side of the world: the direct flight between Chile and Australia, considered the longest route of the Latam group and its third direct route between South America and Oceania.

Between Santiago and Sydney there are more than 11 thousand kilometres, in a non-stop journey of almost 15 hours, a saving of four hours compared to the flight from Santiago to Sydney with a stopover in Auckland, in neighboring New Zealand.

In Australia, departure takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 12.35pm (local time), while landing in the Chilean capital is scheduled for 11.20am (local time).

The direct route was available between 2019 and 2020, but was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is currently in addition to the direct flights the group operates from Chile to Melbourne (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand).
