The story of Justin Kemp (Nicholas Hoult), who finds himself a juror in a murder trial and at the same time discovers that he may unwittingly be at the head of this crime. He is then faced with a moral dilemma between protecting himself or surrendering.

Producer Tim Moore recalls:We had a hard time finding locations to shoot because we were looking for a setting that was neither too urban nor too rural. We knew we were going to shoot in Georgia, and Clint had already shot a few movies in Atlanta, so he wanted a change of scenery and scenery.“
