The animal keeper gave a statement to the city police station
A a dog died and a 12-year-old boy was injured when they were attacked by four pit bulls at the time when the boy was cycling in the city of Registro, in the hinterland of São Paulo.

The boy was taken to the Regional Registry Hospital. Al Earththe state Department of Health said the family did not authorize disclosure of information about the child’s health.
The dog killed in the accident belonged to a farmer who tried to help the boy. The attack was interrupted by a man who used his car to chase away the pit bulls, Gabriela de Oliveira Silvano, the victim’s mother, told TV Tribuna.
The owner of the animal, in turn, was located and brought to testify at the city police station, where she gave statements. According to the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo, the case was registered as personal injury and failure to exercise caution in keeping animals.
“The child’s father has been informed of the deadline for criminal representation, which is required under the Act for offenses subject to conditional prosecution,” the agency added.
