Adaptation of the hit Broadway musical opens in Brazilian cinemas from November 19th

Universal Pictures released, this Tuesday (5), a new behind-the-scenes video of Wickedfilm adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, which features Ariana Grande(Don’t Look Up) and Cynthia Erivo(Harriet) releasing his voice like Glinda and Elphabarespectively.

In the new preview, the director Jon M. Chufrom In a New York Neighborhood (2020), also explains the decision to have the actors record the songs live, on the filming set, while the scenes were filmed. Check it out:

What is the story of Wicked?

Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphababefore becoming the Wicked Witch of the Westand Glindathe future Good Witch of the Southwho become best friends, even with opposing personalities, different points of view and the fight for the love of the same man.

In addition to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grandethe cast of Wicked still has Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Travel Companions), Bowen Yang (Megaromantic, Saturday Night Live) and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere at the Same Time), between others.

When does it debut Wicked?

Previously scheduled for November 28th, Wicked will arrive in Brazilian cinemas a week earlier, from November 21stwith early sessions starting on the 19th of the same month. Watch the trailer:
