The Kremlin says the United States remains a hostile country following the election results

Russian government spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he was not aware of any plans by Russian President Vladimir Putin to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election, adding that people should not forget that the United States is a country hostile to Russia.

Moscow carefully observes and analyzes US politicians’ statements about Russia, Peskov told reporters.

According to him, relations between the two countries are at a historically low level and it is practically impossible for them to worsen.

Peskov also said that the United States is capable of changing the trajectory of its foreign policy, but “we will see in January,” when Trump takes office, whether that will happen.
