Having worked together for nearly a decade, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have cultivated a relationship that most on-screen duets can only hope to have. Their friendship also saw Hart and Johnson hilariously split, with the press tour of their most recent collaboration, DC League of Super Pets, being the latest example of how they are able to throw A + insults at each other. As Johnson digs, Hart’s troll and comedic timing is unmatched. Nothing is off limits, including the fact that The Rock recently bought his mom a fully furnished house because his co-star found a way to wildly roast him for it.
The great pets The co-stars joked as usual during an interview with Extra. Kevin Hart was so amused by the whole exchange that he posted it on his instagram. Of course, the interviewer was moved by the news that The Rock had bought his mother a house, but the comedian couldn’t help but deflate the idea by acknowledging how long he had been his co-star.
It was time. A billion dollars later, she finally bought her mother a house. Should we applaud for it? I think the whole room thinks the same thing. It was fucking time. ‘Hello Mom! Look what I have for you. You can exit this duplex.
I commend the interviewer for keeping calm, because I don’t know if I would have gotten through the interview without bursting out laughing. On the surface the comedian seemed to be right, although Dwayne Johnson, who had a good laugh, offered some clarification. This latter house was actually one of many houses he had bought for his mother in the years after his father divorced him.
However, Kevin Hart couldn’t resist making a few extra lines during the conversation and let’s be honest would you really expect him to release his foot at a time like this? Being the comedian that Hart is, he couldn’t help but get another head start at The Rock’s expense. After hearing the actor’s justification, he made a humorous and emphatic appeal to the fighter-turned-actor’s mother:

This is how we will have the last laugh. Of course, the fact that the two can talk to each other about garbage only proves how strong their friendship is. I think it’s fair to say that the two have developed one of the best bromances in all of Hollywood. That’s why the couple continued to make plans together after acting together for the first time basic intelligence.
Audiences will finally hear The Rock and Kevin Hart when DC Super Pets League will be released in theaters on July 29th.
