THE D23 Brazil 2024 started this Friday (8), and has already brought great news for Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars fans. The event, which will last three days, promises to present exclusive content and special panels throughout the weekend. The first day of the event, held at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, was marked by important revelations and surprises for the public present. The presenters Octavian Costa and Carol Moreira conducted the first panel, which included the participation of special guests such as Jonas Rivera (producer), Jared Bush (director and screenwriter) and Barry Jenkins (the director of Mufasa: The Lion King).

1. ‘Ice Age 6’ Announcement
Almost ten years after the launch of The Ice Age: The Big Bangthe franchise will get a sixth film. The announcement was also made online by Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamowhich return as the voices of Manny, Ellie and Sidrespectively. Details about the plot have not yet been revealed, but production is already underway.

2. Live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’
Disney has confirmed the premiere date for the long-awaited live-action film Lilo & Stitch in Brazilian cinemas: May 22, 2025. In the cast, Chris Sanders returns as the voice of Stitch, along with Mary Kealoha like Lilo and other names like Billy Magnussen, Aunt Carrere, Zach Galifianakis, Courtney B. Vance and Jason Scott Lee.

3. Pixar Releases and Announcements

  • ‘Elio’: A new animation about an 11-year-old boy who makes contact with aliens and searches for his place in the universe. The film hits theaters in June 2025.
  • ‘Jumpers’: Scheduled for 2026, the animation follows Mabela girl who can transfer her mind into a robot beaver body and lives adventures in the animal world. The film promises heart and emotion, according to Jonas Rivera.

5. Tron: Ares
With release confirmed for October 9, 2025, the new film in the franchise Tron will have Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Greta Lee and Gillian Anderson in the cast.

6. ‘Zootopia 2’ News
