French taken? Several filmmakers have tried it, and most recently, this summer, with Elia, directed by Roshdi Zemi… Here’s Badh, a new project that’s starting to shoot and whose story lines recall the famous franchise helmed by Liam Neeson.
the pitch After the death of her companion, Alma reverts to her former identity as Badh, a ruthless intelligence agent.
Alma is portrayed by Marine Vakti. A French actor portrayed by François Ozon in Young and Pretty is quite a rarity in cinema. We saw him at a masquerade recently.
As is known, Marine Vacth will be surrounded by a beautiful cast French movie. Nils Schneider, Emmanuel Berko, Slimane Daz, Sofian Khames, Gregoire Collin and Lionel Abelansky.
A remarkable sympathy for the devil, made after the style of the film
It is worth noting that the previous film by Badhi director Guillaume de Fontaine had Nils Schneider and Sofian Khames in the credits. Both were cast in the excellent Sympathy for the Devil (trailer above), about war reporter Paul Marchand. This feature film, which went a bit unnoticed, was nevertheless critically well received.
Buddy can thus be a pleasant surprise in terms of the idea and ambition of cinema, with Guillaume de Fontenay at the helm. Note that this action movie is written by Matt Alexander. (Last co-writer of Survivre, with Emily Deken). Filming will begin in Morocco on November 11, 2024 and will continue until mid-January 2025.
