Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Older brother live streaming starting Sunday 17 July. Read at your own risk!
Older brother Season 24 is back on track after a slight reboot following Paloma Aguilar’s surprising departure. Taylor Hale went from unanimously chasing someone with a second chance and a renewed hope in the game even if fans are worried about his future when Jasmine Davis won the second week of breadwinner . Gossipify continued to watch live streams and update fans on the latest happenings in the house from season 24 and now we officially know who was nominated and who got the veto.
With her HOH duties, Jasmine had a choice to make. She had to decide if she wanted to take a big step or try to maintain the status quo and repeat Daniel Durston’s nominations for week 1. Here’s how it all went and who won the veto that she could change everything.
Taylor Hale was named for eviction
Anyone who has watched the live streams may have seen it coming. Taylor had a high chance of being nominated again regardless of who won due to her current position in the home. However, Jasmine’s victory represented her worst scenario. Jasmine has not had contact with Taylor since an alleged conversation in which she inferred that Jasmine was fat. It should also be noted that Jasmine was very attached to Paloma and Alyssa Snider. For those wondering why this is relevant, these three have more or less ignited the anti-Taylor sentiment that lingers in the house. I’m not even sure Taylor would be surprised to be back on the block, and if she survives this week, I think there’s a good chance she’ll be in a similar place next week.
Joseph “Pooch” Pucciarelli was nominated for expulsion
Few could have seen the Pooch nomination coming, not even Jasmine. According to Live Chats, Pooch immediately approached Jasmine and volunteered to be a pawn so he could pass without Jasmine risking to name another guest. She gladly agreed but, unfortunately for Pooch, she has led to discussions about whether or not to kick her out now and removing a player with real power in the game is the best decision. We’ll see if that happens, but it seems more people are inclined to send Pooch in Taylor’s place right now.
Michael Bruner won the veto
For the second time in this game, Michael won the veto. I used it the first week for saved from the veto block in week 1 but, at this point, it is unclear whether he will ever use the tool again. Viewers know that Michael thinks Taylor may be a potential ally for him, but if the House is serious about hunting Pooch for her, there’s no point in taking a risk and exposing that potential association.
Michael also talked to Jasmine and tried to sell her from the back door to someone who is an even bigger target than Pooch and Taylor, but so far Jasmine hasn’t been receptive to that. Michael still has some time to dissuade her, although I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she stopped using her power to veto her. Saving Taylor might be something fans really want, but it ultimately doesn’t affect Michael’s game too much if she comes home. Older brother it’s always a game where the unexpected happens, so you don’t really know for sure how things will continue to develop.
Older brother aired on CBS (opens in a new tab) Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET and Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Paramount + subscribers you can always follow the action in real time with live streams and also watch all the other great shows on the platform.
