Should not culture benefit from a sovereign ministry?

I would like to create a large Ministry of Culture that includes Heritage, Tourism, Performing Arts, Arts, Letters, Cinema and Communication.

Is cinema necessarily a political art? What inspires your recovery that can be done around a job like the recent “Bac Nord”?

I do not believe that cinema is necessarily a political art, it can only be entertaining or appreciated for the artistic work it represents. On the other hand, I believe the impact around the work, as it was for Bac Nord, is beneficial. I would even say, fortunately, the audience does not remain passive and devotes themselves to the cinema for debate, to raise social issues. Cinema also exists to convey messages, to capture emotions, and to reflect on issues and problems of the community, the same should be possible for the viewer.

Do movies and TV series, among other things, have a call, in your opinion, to help “cross the lines” in social issues (parity, diversity, etc.)?

Cinema, like culture in general, is an art that is not just about entertainment. It is also an indirectly committed art because it highlights issues and reasons that the viewer will like, though it should not go beyond this original goal to the point where the viewer is bored with a vision that is sometimes overly faithful. It is important for artists to realize the weight and echo they have in society through their cultural and artistic works.
