Game of Thrones actress takes on iconic role in adaptation produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

According to information from Deadlinethe contract has not yet been finalized, but the agreement is close to being closed. The series, announced earlier this year, will be written and produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridgecreator of Fleabagas part of its general contract with Amazon.
The series is based on the famous video game franchise tomb Raiderwhich follows the global adventures of Lara Croft, an archaeologist and explorer in search of ancient relics and mysteries. The production marks yet another adaptation of the franchise’s universe, now aimed at TV, with the aim of expanding the universe of tomb Raider in new stories for series and films.
Turner gained worldwide notoriety as Sansa Stark throughout eight seasons of game of Thronesa role that earned her an Emmy nomination in 2019. Additionally, she played Jean Gray in the films X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Recently, he starred in the series Joanfrom ITV/CW, and The Staircasefrom Max.
